Welcome to Lewisham GP Speciality Training Scheme

Lewisham GP Speciality Training Scheme is in the inner London borough of Lewisham, which has a great diversity of culture and high levels of health need and social deprivation. Lewisham is a challenging place to work and there are many excellent and innovative Primary Care Teams who are rising to the challenges. It is a good place to live and work with excellent transport links to central London.

The first two years on the training scheme are made up of four month rotations in University Hospital Lewisham, community posts and general practice. The final year is spent fully in general practice. All of the training practices offer effective team working, good facilities and a well rounded training experience. The weekly half-day release programme provides a friendly supportive learning environment.
